Fort Gaines is an historic fort on Dauphin Island, Alabama, United States. It was named for Edmund Pendleton Gaines. Established in 1821, it is best known for its role in the Battle of Mobile Bay during the American Civil War.

Come on down and enjoy Alabama's 86th Annual Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo. Bring the family and look at all the fish that will be brought in to the weigh station. We kick off with the Liars contest Thursday July 18 at 5:00 pm and bring it to a close on Sunday July 21 at 6:00 pm.
